My aim in this paper is to reflect upon some of the central issues that “frame” contemporary strategies of re-presentation in the work of women artists in a dialogue with Feminism (s) today – issues around the body, new feminine cartographies and their mapping in contemporary world, within the context of a “politics of location”. Such processes of framing/reframing/unframing will be the main focus of my analysis, through direct study of some case-studies.
