This study is part of the international research project Cultural Encounters in Intervention Against Violence (CEINAV). This article presents the analysis of the results of a participatory art project during which women and youngsters created visual narratives about the intervention process they received as victims of violence. The creation of visual narratives provided a space for the participants to reflect about their intervention processes through visual and symbolic lenses. The project also allowed the participants to explore their emotions and feelings and highlighted the instances in which the intervention process did not meet their needs for protection, security, recognition and justice. In terms of method, we used a critical visual analysis approach combined with visual micro-ethnography.
