Ece Canlı, Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade, Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade do Minho, Braga, Portugal

Ece Canlı é artista e investigadora júnior da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia dentro do grupo de estudos culturais do Centro de Investigação em Comunicação e Sociedade da Universidade do Minho (Portugal). É doutorada em design pela Universidade do Porto (Portugal) e foi investigadora visitante no grupo de investigação Empirica na Escola de Artes, Design e Arquitectura da Universidade de Aalto (Finlândia). O seu trabalho situa-se na intersecção de regimes materiais e políticas corporais, especificamente, constituições sócio-espacio-materiais de género, sexualidade, raça e outras categorias de identidade. No seu projeto atual intitulado "Prison Heterosexual Complex” (Complexo Prisional Heterossexual), investiga as condições espaciais, materiais e tecnológicas do encarceramento queer do ponto de vista da materialidade - design, arquitetura e tecnologias emergentes em particular. Foi professora no programa de mestrado em sociologia do género na Universidade do Minho e no programa de design na Universidade Lusíada do Porto. Publicou em volumes editados pela SAGE, Bloomsbury e Spector Books e em revistas como Design&Culture e The Design Journal. É membro fundador do coletivo de investigação Decolonising Design Group.

Nicoletta Mandolini é investigadora júnior da Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia no Centro de Investigação de Comunicação e Sociedade da Universidade do Minho (Portugal), onde está a trabalhar no projecto Sketch Her Story and Make It Popular. Using Graphic Narratives in Italian and Lusophone Feminist Activism Against Gender Violence (Esboçar a Sua História e Torná-la Popular. Usando Narrativas Gráficas do Ativismo Feminista Italiano e Lusófono Contra a Violência de Género; https://www.sketchthatstory.com/). Trabalhou como investigadora pós-doutorada FWO na KU Leuven (Bélgica) e é doutorada pelo Universidade College Cork (Irlanda). É autora da monografia Representations of Lethal Gender-Based Violence in Italy Between Journalism and Literature: Femminicidio Narratives (Representações da Violência Letal de Género em Itália Entre Jornalismo e Literatura: Narrativas de Feminicidio Routledge, 2021). Entre outros artigos sobre o abuso sexista na literatura e nos média contemporâneos, co-editou o volume Rappresentare la Violenza di Genere. Sguardi Femministi tra Critica, Attivismo e Scrittura (Representar a Violência de Género. Perspetivas Feministas entre Crítica, Ativismo e Escrita; Mimesis, 2018). É membro ativo do grupo sobre violência, conflito e género do Centre for Advanced Studies in Languages and Cultures, que foi co-organizadora desde 2016 até 2019. É membro fundador do Studying'n'Investigating Fumetti.
